What is a vacation policy?

Personizer: absence management and time tracking for your company

A vacation policy is an agreement between the employee and the employer that specifies the conditions and rules for vacation entitlement and vacation granting. Vacation policies in Personizer include annual leave entitlement and expiration of remaining leave.

An example of when you could create a vacation policy:

Employee Max Mueller has been working at Vacation AG since January 1, 2022. According to his employment contract, he is entitled to 24 days of vacation per year. On January 1, 2024, a new vacation policy goes into effect, which provides that all employees of Vacation AG will have a vacation entitlement of 28 days per year as of that date. In addition, the vacation policy stipulates that all remaining vacation days from the previous year must be claimed by March 01 of the following year, otherwise they will be forfeited.
