How do I activate automatic break deduction?

Automatic break deduction only applies if this function is activated in the conditions for working time and breaks. A break is automatically entered if not enough break has been recorded to meet the conditions.

Examples for better understanding

If the working time exceeds 6 hours, a break of 30 minutes must be recorded.

Example 1:

Two 10-minute breaks have been recorded. According to the conditions, the minimum break time is 15 minutes.
In this case, a 30-minute break is automatically added. The total break time for the day is therefore 50 minutes.

Example 2:

A break of 23 minutes has been recorded. According to the condition, the minimum break time is 15 minutes.
In this case, a 7-minute break is added so that the mandatory break time of 30 minutes is reached.

Example 3:

A break of 35 minutes has been recorded.
No additional break is entered automatically.

How to set up automatic break deduction

  1. Click on **Company **in the left-hand navigation bar.
  2. Click on Work Time **in the horizontal navigation bar. Here you will find the section **Conditions for Work Time and Breaks.
  3. Open the condition you want to edit.
  4. Navigate to the section Protection for Compliance and activate the automatic break deduction here.

Note: Breaks that have been entered automatically are marked with corresponding symbols in the time recording and time sheets.
